Dear Highpoint at Stonecrest Residents, Families and Staff:
Emergency Preparedness is a vital part of ensuring everyone remains safe when emergency or natural disaster situations arise. We make our best efforts to be sure that everyone is prepared on how to react in these types of situations. As you are aware, our area may feel the effects of a High Winds and Tornado Warnings in the next 24-hours due to Hurricane Milton, so I wanted to share some insight on how we handle these types of emergencies.
We have very detailed emergency manuals in place that direct all aspects of an emergency situation. Should the power go out, or roads be closed down, I want you to know about what we have already done to prepare for your safety, including an onsite permanent generator. We, at all times, have a 3 day supply of food and water on hand for all staff and residents. Beyond the 3 day supply, we have contracts in place with our food/water distributor that they will provide us the emergency supplies that we need, so we can continue operating under little to no stress. We also have on hand, at minimum, a 10 day supply of medications for those we assist. This allows us, and you, to know that you will not run out of medications during any type of emergency.
I want you to know that we have done this before, and will do it again. You and your loved ones are in good hands with us. It is our goal to make sure you experience the most minimal amount of impact as possible, but I promise to keep you updated as more information is available. Should the community experience any water intrusion, we will immediately work to extract and remove the water and reach out to our company support (if necessary) to have a restoration company come and assist us.
